My husband, Paul and I live in Trinity, FL in the winter and Blowing Rock, NC 
in the summer. Since retirement, we have enjoyed traveling places we have 
dreamed about forever. In celebration of our recent 25th Wedding Anniversary, 
the 8th of August 2005, we spent a 38-day trip to Europe, traveling a week 
each to Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria and ending in Germany for 11 days. 
Our memories from this trip will last us a lifetime!

One of the "highlights" of our trip to Germany was getting to meet up with a 
fellow BUBECK, (my mother's maiden name). Paul BUBECK invited us to visit with 
his loving family who greeted us with "open arms". His family cooked for us, 
took us on tours around Germany for two days and our time together was 
precious. We are so grateful to Mr. BUBECK and his family for making us feel 
so welcome!

Paul and I also enjoy visiting with family and friends, hiking in the 
mountains of NC, walking the beaches in FL, volunteering for our various 
community projects, designing websites,  and playing on our computers. I 
mostly enjoy working on our family genealogy; although, Paul has just recently 
been "bitten by the genealogy bug", too. Each year brings us closer to finding 
those missing family members; plus, we get to meet many new friends and 
explore our family history along the way with the possiblity of finding out 
whether our news friends are related to us! 

Paul's primary paternal family surnames are: 

"WELLS & HOOVER" who appear to have originated in CT, MD, VA and NC and who 
migrated to Ginghamsburg, (Miami County) and Dayton, (Montgomery County) OH, 
with some WELLS who possibly migrated from Wales and Scotland.

Paul's primary maternal family surnames are:

'REED ~ ROHDE' families who predominantly lived in Dayton and Cincinnati, OH. 
Our REED family was from Scotland and our ROHDE family from Germany .

My primary paternal family surnames are:

'ROBERSON ~ BUCHANAN ~ SPRATT ~ TRENT' family who migrated primarily from NC 
and VA/WV after migrating from Scotland. 

My primary maternal family surnames: 

"BUBECK ~ KLOPFER ~ BAISCH ~ LAUTENSCHLA(E)GER" lived in the Montgomery, 
Miami and Darke County, OH area after migrating from Germany.
